Feast your eyes on the painted bears at the WEHA Bear Fair at Webster Walk, located at 20 South Main St. in West Hartford. The WEHA Bear Fair will run through the end of October.
Plans are also underway to extend the WEHA Bear Fair by taking it indoors November – January. Check back for more details!
The WEHA Bear Fair includes one dozen beautifully painted bears, each one individually designed and decorated by a talented local artist. The WEHA Bear Fair is a community-wide FUNdraiser, sponsored by local businesses and individuals including Cantor Colburn, Daley Moving & Storage, Dog Star Rescue, Duncaster, Elmwood Business Assoc. (Jerry’s Artarama, Webster Bank, Dr. Rick Liftig), Fleet Feet of West Hartford, Hartford HealthCare, Juniper Homecare, Modern Tire, Udolf Properties, Westfield Bank, West Hartford Funeral Homes (Sheehan Hilborn Breen, Molloy, Hebrew Funeral) and WTNH News 8. Each sponsor has selected an artist to design its bear, as well as a nonprofit organization to benefit from proceeds raised by visitors to the fair.
Visitors will have the opportunity to support the twelve designated beneficiary non-profits by scanning the QR code on the signage attached to the bear or by clicking on the links provided below.
If these bears look kind of colorless to you–as if they’ve been hibernating a little too long, well, so they are — because we’re saving a good look at our beautifully painted bears for the WEHA Bear Fair Big.
Reveal on Tuesday, August 31. You won’t want to miss it!
